The diagrams are for a cue ball struck very near center with medium speed on a line through two diamonds, and should also apply to object balls which are struck head on. Trying to remember exactly the effects of speed and english on these shots is not reasonable, in my opinion, because of the many ways the cue ball may be put into motion; but, you should understand the changes induced by speed
